Clinical Herbalist
Gita Narayan is a Registered Herbal Therapist (RHT) and founder of Gita Botanicals. She is passionate about using medicinal plants for preventative healthcare to increase balance, wholism, and support the body’s natural capacity to heal itself. Gita received a Diploma of Phytotherapy in Western Herbal Medicine from the Pacific Rim College in Victoria. She also has a MSc and PhD in ecology. She combines her 25 years of a scientific work with her training in western herbal medicine, holistic nutrition, and Ayurveda to address a broad range of health issues. She aims to deliver simple, self-managed herbal, nutritional and lifestyle solutions to help clients prevent and manage their health conditions. Gita acknowledges the importance of meeting clients where they are in their health journey, with compassion, and without judgement. She uses an individualized (w)holistic or whole body-whole person, trauma-informed, and nature-based approach to help clients feel empowered to self-direct the course of their own physical, emotional, and spiritual recovery from illness or trauma back to reconnection with their vibrant well-being.
Herbal Medicine with Gita Botanicals
Gita has wide interest in many areas including sleep, mental health, depression, stress, thyroid and metabolic function, digestive disorder, heart health, diabetes, allergies, skin and eye conditions.
Gita is offering 1:1 herbal medicine consultations, and custom tailored herbal formulations and protocols. She is accepting new patients from January 6th and her in-person and online booking is now open through the link in our bio.
Types of Consultations & Fees
- Exploratory consult (up to 20 minutes): For all new patients. During this short exploratory call, you’ll get an opportunity to ask the herbalist any questions about herbal medicine and whether it’s the right solution for you.
*Fee: Free - MAIN – Initial consult (up to 90 minutes): For all new patients. We will discuss your current health concerns, and do a thorough assessment of your medical history, lifestyle, nutrition, and full body systems. If appropriate, we will conduct simple physical examinations (blood pressure, pulse etc.). If you are interested in including herbs, a protocol will be provided at the end.
*Fee: $135.00 CAD +cost of herbs (consultation fees do not include the cost of herbs) - MAIN – Follow-up consult (up to 60 minutes): For returning patients. Follow-ups are highly recommended after two to four weeks from the initial consultation. We will gauge your progress or address any set-backs, while on the recommended protocols.
*Fee: $90.00 CAD +cost of herbs - Acute consult (up to 20 minutes): For existing clients only. These appointments will be limited to acute concerns (colds, indigestion, ear infections, urinary tract infections etc.).
*Fee: $30.00 CAD +cost of herbs.
