Kundalini Yoga is exploding around the world – and for good reason! It’s an amazingly transformative practice that will elevate you, challenge you, and encourage your personal and spiritual evolution.
Are you curious about trying a Kundalini yoga class? Do you feel intimidated because you don’t know enough about it to take the leap?
Well, if you are familiar with Hatha or one of its derivations (such as Vinyasa, Iyengar, Modo, or others), you will have a basic understanding of some of the aspects of Kundalini yoga.
In fact, Hatha and Kundalini share some common ground as they are both practices that use postures and breath to create union of mind, body, and soul.
Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness.
It is a technology that incorporates breathing practices (pranayams), yoga sets (kriyas), and meditations to achieve balance, mental clarity, and physical well-being. Kundalini Yoga takes a unique approach to yoga. Many people find themselves asking “What was that?” when they finish their first Kundalini Yoga class… but then its effects start to work, and they realize their mind is clear, they are more in tune with their emotions, and they feel more connected with their physical body.
Kundalini Yoga classes with Lynne and Jas will introduce you to the basic concepts and practices of Kundalini Yoga. This class will demystify these concepts so that you can participate on a deeper level.
Basic breathing, meditation and yoga practices are incorporated into the class, to help you learn and grow in the practice. The explanations are thorough and supported with theory and experience. This class will give you the tools you need to begin using Kundalini Yoga as a path to wellness.
In this class you will:
- Learn breathing techniques
- Practice simple exercises to keep your spine flexible and open
